    Should You Take Supplements?

A somewhat controversial question, especially in the wellness community. With a well-rounded plant-based diet, you don’t need any supplementation. Every vegan has heard this and most of us have probably said it. But let’s be honest, who eats a clean whole foods plant-based diet 100% of the time? Not me, I like my vegan junk food. Supplementation isn’t even a vegan problem. Omnivores, herbivores, and “clean-eaters” can all be susceptible to nutrient deficiencies. Here is a CDC report on nutrient deficiencies. I’ve talked about this a little in the past, but I wanted to do a separate post about vitamins/supplements. I used to never rely on supplements. I only relied…

    So You Started a Blog…

Literally everyone and their mom is “building a brand”. Which is great, I love seeing people sharing their passions on social media. But scrolling through blogs and Instagram, I see some things that make me cringe. Not in a bad way, it just brings back memories from my early blogging days. We spend a lot of time putting out content, but we don’t spend time talking about meaningful content and how to go about that. … I am by no means an influencer. Meatless crumbles or other vegan meat (I used half a package).…

    Takers // Coffee Chats

Welcome to my new series! I always see YouTubers do these posts where they eat/drink and talk about a topic. So I thought I would do that in a written format. Grab some coffee, tea, or whatever you want and join me in this discussion (only if you want to of course). I want to talk about selfishness today. Everyone is a little selfish at times. But I’ve been really frustrated because I feel like I am surrounded by takers. People that are only around you when they want someone. They take, take, and take until you just feel exhausted. They don’t think of how their actions affects you or…

    Food Photography in September

It’s that time again! Welcome to the September edition of my monthly vegan food porn series. I’m starting to get the hang of this food photography thing. Definitely far from a professional level, but you have to start somewhere. I’ve been more consistent with my props and backgrounds and I feel like this has improved my results. I also do minimal edits.  I adjust the color in certain areas and then I slightly adjust the saturation and contrast. Then, I apply a filter that isn’t too dramatic. Some of the more simplistic photos, I took on my phone and it’s just me holding the bowl/plate. I like to have a…
