    The Nifty Fifty Review

The infamous 50 mm lens. Most photography enthusiasts rave about this lens, with good reason. For non-professionals or people just starting out in photography it can be intimidating to stray from the kit lens. Before purchasing this lens, I read tons of reviews. Everything I know about photography is self-taught. I am not incredibly knowledgeable about the technical side of a dslr. Most reviews were highly technical and on one hand this was helpful. But on the other hand, it made me confused as to whether it was worth the investment. I’ll try to keep this review reader friendly. Typically this lens retails for around $125. Right from the start,…

Dark Chocolate & Cranberry Scones (Vegan)

These exceeded my expectations! This recipe is not something I had planned. I was making some basic scones on a Saturday morning, as one does, and I just so happened to have dried cranberries and vegan chocolate in my pantry. A star was born. Some of the best scones I have made, truly.  Yum, Yum, and Yummy are three words to describe these scones.  Pin This For Later! I used a blend of oat flour and wheat flour. Holiday Gift Guide

I’m a little late on this as many of you have probably gotten your loved ones gifts, but I’m sure there are other procrastinators out there! I thought I would share gift ideas that add value and are more mindful. I think that anyone would like these, but these ideas are more targeted toward millenials or for foodies and content creators.  Some of these items are affordable and others are more of an investment. Everyone has a different budget for the holidays, so I’m trying to include things for everyone. Before I get into this, I think I should talk about what intentional living means to me. Some people that…

Vegan Pasta Bake + Tofu Ricotta

I used to roll my eyes when a food blogger talked about tofu ricotta and how it was so similar to traditional ricotta. I didn’t believe them to be honest. Cheesy lasagna and pasta bakes were something that I missed from before I was vegan. So I started experimenting with tofu ricotta. The first time I made it, it was garbage. It tasted so bad, but I finally have a recipe that tastes good and performs similarly to traditional ricotta.  Pin This For Later ⇓♥ This recipe is also gluten free. I used a pasta that was made out of green lentils and that’s why the picture has a green…

    Winter Spell

While I was driving today, I heard Christmas music on the radio and I was truly confused. Then it dawned on me…it’s the first week of December. I just now started working on holiday recipes and I haven’t gotten any presents for my family yet. Definitely need to get it together. … Like I do each month, I’m going to share some photos from November. It’s been bitter cold, so I didn’t take as many as normal. Enjoy! Thank you for visiting my blog! I hope you had a good November and I hope you will have an even better December. Camera Gear: Camera | Lens | Phone
