Arizona Travel Guide | Part 2

As promised, here is my second Arizona travel guide! My other guide covered the Phoenix area. This focuses on the Grand Canyon and also Sedona, AZ.

The northern part of Arizona was actually my favorite aspect of my trip. I always thought Arizona was just a brown desert that was always scorching hot. Just a couple hours north of Phoenix lies beautiful forests and amazing canyons/rock formations.

If you are anywhere near Arizona, you need to go to the Grand Canyon.

I know! So beautiful and probably too many pictures, but I just couldn’t decide. The flawlessness of the Grand Canyon cannot be fully captured on camera and that is why I would recommend it to anyone. This is a wonder that must be seen in person. It is not just a “giant hole in the ground”.

There isn’t much in terms of restaurants or modern civilization surrounding the Grand Canyon. However if you need to stay the night somewhere or are searching for a hot meal, then I suggest the Cameron Trading Post. I enjoyed my stay and the restaurant and gift shop were pleasant experiences.

The view from my window. Not a bad sight to wake up to.

A popular destination in Arizona is Sedona. The first thing you notice about this place is the aesthetic. The next thing you notice is how busy it is. Every shop and every restaurant is busy.

It’s understandable though because the location is amazing and the shops are very unique. There is a chapel on a hill that is a popular spot for photographers. I went to various shops with my family. They are inspired by the landscape and are very new-age. The restaurant I went to was a pizza place and had vegan options (I forgot the name though). Surrounding Sedona, there are also stunning hikes. Sedona has so much to offer and that is why many tourists visit this town.

I am sorry about the photo overload! Sedona and the Grand Canyon are must-sees, in my opinion. Thanks for reading and I hope this inspired you to add Arizona to your travel bucket list.
