My Favorite Cruelty-Free and Organic Products

This isn’t something I typically would post because I loathe shopping. But I haven’t posted about cruelty-free products in a while and I get questions so…here I am, writing about the products I use. I consider myself an ethical vegan, which means that I buy cruelty-free lifestyle and beauty products. If I can afford an organic option then I will also purchase that. It can get expensive, but buying online definitely helps. I also avoid buying makeup, so I save money there. All of these products I am going to share are affordable and add value to my life. Minimal Hair Care Routine

It’s been a long while since I have talked about anything beauty related. My beauty routines have minimized because I barely use products anymore. Partly because of my intentional lifestyle and partly because I am really low maintenance (AKA lazy). Surprisingly, I have received compliments on my hair lately. I have taken a minimal approach recently when it comes to my hair and I just wanted to share an updated hair care routine/products. Basically the routine part is just shampooing every few days. Last year, I was having a lot of scalp irritation and hair breakage. When this happened, I had to cut back on most products. That’s why I…

    Vegan Advice: Supplements + iHerb

Should you take vitamins and supplements as a vegan? Some people say that you should only get your vitamins through your diet and food. I used to be like this as well. It is very possible to get all of the necessary nutrients through food, even on a plant-based diet. However, incorporating vitamins into your routine can improve your health even more. I avoided vitamins for around 6 months (as a vegan). My blood work was great and I didn’t have any deficiencies (even b12). But I had moved into my dorm and I noticed, I was more prone to sicknesses and I would get tired more easily. Even after…

    iHerb Review

I’m all about natural products. I’ve heard a lot about iHerb and I was always wanting to try it. I recently ran out of some beauty products and vitamins so I decided to finally browse iHerb. At first, I was a little overwhelmed by the website. There are so many products to choose from! The great thing is their website separates everything into categories and has a search option. It was incredibly easy to navigate through all of the supplements and beauty products. I was pleased with their selection of products, everything I looked at was natural and cruelty-free. Everything was also reasonably priced. Ordering was simple and I received…

    How To Use Castor Oil

Castor oil is a vegetable oil that comes from pressing the seeds of the Ricinus communis plant. This oil is commonly found in beauty products and pharmaceuticals. I mainly use castor oil for skin care, but my mom says that it can also be used for digestion. Listed below are a few ways I like to use castor oil! Hair Care/Hair Growth: You can add castor oil to your shampoo and conditioner. I like to make a hair mask with castor oil and leave it in for about 15 minutes and then rinse out. Also, mixing coconut oil and castor oil can improve hair growth. I like to mix the two together and…

    Flower Beauty Brand Review

I admire Drew Barrymore so when I saw her makeup range at Wal-Mart (Flower Beauty), I freaked out. First off, let’s talk about the packaging! I love white and gold so I was immediately drawn to the products. There is a good range of items: lip glosses/lipsticks, tinted moisturizers and foundations, powders, and eye products. I was surprised by how large of a selection there was because usually celebrity brands only have a few products. I purchased the mattifying loose powder in Translucent and the eyebrow pencil in deep brown. I have read positive reviews about the loose powder so I decided to purchase it. I got the mattifying one…

    Affordable Makeup Brushes

Brushes are essential to any makeup junkie. They make the application much easier and your makeup will look blended and not cakey (well most of the time). But, not everyone wants to give an arm and a leg just for decent brushes. Some of my favorite affordable brushes are from Eco Tools, E.l.f, and Real Techniques. You don’t need to go overboard on brushes- you just want the essentials. I would recommend starting out with a foundation brush (flat top brush), a powder brush, an angled brush, a stipple brush, and brushes for eyeshadows (crease brush, smudge brush, and shader brush). I recommend going to Ulta, Target, or even online…

Tarte Rainforest of The Sea Concealer Review

I am not the type of beauty blogger who buys loads from Sephora, but if I think a product is quality then I don’t mind spending more money. I typically like tarte products and I have heard great reviews about their rainforest of the sea foundation. I don’t usually wear foundation so I decided to purchase the concealer. I have dry under eyes so I thought this would be better than the beloved shape tape concealer. This product has a medium coverage with yellow undertones (light to medium shade) and has a dewy natural finish. I don’t know if this is my favorite concealer, I have to keep using…
