It drives me crazy when someone tells me to relax or calm down! But most of the time, I should probably listen because it’s true. I have felt overworked and rundown recently due to final exams. I thought I would share some things that have helped me relax. Whether you’re in college or just a high-stress person, I hope you find these tips helpful.

Put down the phone! This is a big one. All of the notifications will stress you out even more. If you absolutely can’t part with your phone, then there is an app called “calm”. This app has a meditation option or you can turn on the relaxing nature sounds. I like to use the app in the morning and before I go to bed at night.

Go for a walk. Spending quality time outdoors always takes my mind off school and work. The fresh air and exercise will release built up tension.

Spend time with friends or family. I feel like I don’t need to explain this one. Spending time with people dear to you will undoubtedly make you feel better.

Laugh. Look at funny memes, watch dumb youtube videos, or laugh with your best friend. Laugh your worries away!
