    Saying Farewell to Autumn

Bye Bye Fall. It has already started snowing where I live, so I think it is safe to say that my Autumn experience is over. It’s been a good time, but I am excited for winter. I thought I would share some fall photos as my way of saying farewell.     I hope you enjoyed these photos. I’m going to miss these fall sunsets. Tell me in the comments something you will miss about Autumn. I recently invested in a 50 mm lens and I am pleased with it so far. I will post my review soon. Most of these photos were taken with my canon eos rebel sl2. Have a…

This Month in Food Photography: July

It’s that time again! Time for me to share my food photos, because I’m that person. I used to eat food, but now I just take pictures of it. Just joking, I still eat my food (30 minutes later). People seem to enjoy these posts, so I am continuing this series! Since I’ve settled into my new place I have kept a fairly consistent layout/background, in the past I was all over the place. It’s definitely not perfect, but I am liking how my photos turn out most of the time.   Here are all my food photos from July! I typically do a darker background and minimal props. I…

    The Best So Far…

“It won’t get much better than this”. It’s great to those moments that stop you in your tracks. You fall silent because you don’t want to ruin perfection. You start to realize that life is full of growth and change, hardships and good days, and everything in between. “We all tend to see our bodies as ‘frozen sculptures’ – A sold, fixed, material object – when in reality our bodies are more like rivers, constantly changing, flowing patterns of intelligence.” ~ Dr. Neal Houston. This doesn’t necessarily mean our physical bodies. We are not stagnant in life even when we feel stuck. I guess what I mean by all of…

    The End // APRIL

“Nothing lasts forever. Forever is a lie. All we have is what’s between hello and goodbye.” ~ U k n o w n. This quote is how my April went. It was fleeting, but oh so great! Every time a new month starts, I like to review the previous month. If you read my blog regularly, then you know I post all my photos from each month. Here we go again. Enjoy my photos from the month of April. NATURE…. It is just now starting to look like spring where I live. As you can probably tell, most things were still “dead”. It was a harsh winter and it’s pretty…

    March Captures

“It was one of those March days when he sun shines hot and the wind blown cold: when it is summer in the light, and winter in the shade.” ~ Great Expectations. March was fine, but now it is April AKA my birth month! This is part 2 of my March Captures. Look at Part 1 Here. I’m just going to jump right in. Here are my photos from the month of March. You might notice that there isn’t very much color, that is because nothing has bloomed yet where I live. Sorry if you like vibrancy. I hope you enjoy these photos. Tell me about your March in the…

    February Captures

“In winter, you feel the bone structure of the landscape.” ~ Andrew Wyeth. I’m back again with another monthly round up of my pictures. I don’t have as many nature photos because February was brutally cold. All of these were taken in Kansas, in case you were wondering. NATURE… I really focused on detail in the month of February. I wanted to capture small moments that sparked something in me. My other love. FOOD… You might have seen some of these pictures in my previous post. I clearly was obsessed with breakfast food in February. I hope you all enjoyed the photos! Thanks for visiting my blog. February wasn’t the…
