    Winter Spell

While I was driving today, I heard Christmas music on the radio and I was truly confused. Then it dawned on me…it’s the first week of December. I just now started working on holiday recipes and I haven’t gotten any presents for my family yet. Definitely need to get it together. … Like I do each month, I’m going to share some photos from November. It’s been bitter cold, so I didn’t take as many as normal. Enjoy! Thank you for visiting my blog! I hope you had a good November and I hope you will have an even better December. Camera Gear: Camera | Lens | Phone Advertisements

    Takers // Coffee Chats

Welcome to my new series! I always see YouTubers do these posts where they eat/drink and talk about a topic. So I thought I would do that in a written format. Grab some coffee, tea, or whatever you want and join me in this discussion (only if you want to of course). I want to talk about selfishness today. Everyone is a little selfish at times. But I’ve been really frustrated because I feel like I am surrounded by takers. People that are only around you when they want someone. They take, take, and take until you just feel exhausted. They don’t think of how their actions affects you or…

Veganism is a Privilege & Other Thoughts

It’s time to ruffle some feathers! I am going to talk about the “p” word, so if you are triggered by topics about privilege, then this is your warning. Before I dive into what I want to talk about, I just need to give a little disclaimer. I am vegan and I love this lifestyle and I am not bashing or gossiping about anyone specifically. Moving on… When I was a new vegan, I would get really annoyed when people said that it was too hard and too expensive and all those other excuses. I used to think that any person regardless of economic status could adopt a vegan lifestyle.…

    I Want to be Great

We all want to, right? We all want greatness and we all want to be successful. But what happens when you get too caught up in it? Perfectionism in combination with impatience can be debilitating at times. I am usually driven and this is partly because I strive for flawlessness. Not flawlessness in a beauty sense, but I hate mistakes and they easily upset me. On the other hand, focusing on goals and aspirations typically gives me more energy. I enjoy hard work and achieving goals I set. The pros, for the most part, outweigh the cons. What happens when they don’t? At times, it can seem like too much.…

    Summer Goals

My semester is officially over and I am looking forward to my summer break. On the rare occasion that I have free time, I like to write down my intentions or goals at that moment. Here is what I wrote down for my “summer goals”: Have fun! This is an obvious one, but I often need to remind myself to not take things so seriously. Take day trips. I don’t have any trips planned, but I would still like to go on smaller trips or spontaneous road trips. Post once a day on my vegan Instagram account. I typically post every two days, but it’s becoming more serious now so I am…

    The End // APRIL

“Nothing lasts forever. Forever is a lie. All we have is what’s between hello and goodbye.” ~ U k n o w n. This quote is how my April went. It was fleeting, but oh so great! Every time a new month starts, I like to review the previous month. If you read my blog regularly, then you know I post all my photos from each month. Here we go again. Enjoy my photos from the month of April. NATURE…. It is just now starting to look like spring where I live. As you can probably tell, most things were still “dead”. It was a harsh winter and it’s pretty…

    Update // Goals

Like most people, I set intentions for 2018 following the New Year. I have had some comments asking me to do an update, so here you go! If you are a new reader or haven’t seen my goals post ~ HERE IT IS. I didn’t set time restrictions for my goals because I thought that it would be too stressful. However, I should have put a loose time frame so that I would stay somewhat motivated. Anyway, the first goal I had-was to stop comparing myself to others. I haven’t completely mastered this, but I have improved greatly. Something that has helped me is to delete certain accounts on social…

    October Overview

This month has been go, go, go. I want to apologize for not posting very much this month. Blogging isn’t always my top priority. Getting that out of the way, I thought I would share some of what I have been up to lately. I have been spending a lot of time outdoors and a lot of time stuck in the classroom this month. This year my academic program has been a little more strenuous than normal. To become a social worker, you have to have a set amount of unpaid agency experience. One of the places I volunteer is a home for developmentally disabled adults. It just so happens…

    Full Circle

If you have been reading my posts for a while, you might think I am a very moody person. Sometimes I try to be motivational, other times I talk about sad experiences. My life is hectic and I have ups and downs (which is normal). But, I have come to this point in my life where I feel like everything is working out like it’s supposed to be. Trust me, my life is not perfect. I don’t know how to describe it, other than saying that my life has come full circle. As full circle as the life of a 21 year old can be. This doesn’t mean I have…

Do I have an Eating Disorder?

For the most part, I have always had a healthy relationship with food. My mother had anorexia in her 20s, so she always warned me against unhealthy eating behaviors. When I was a child, I was under the impression that I was fat and I occasionally got teased for it. That being said, I just ignored the haters and continued to eat the same way. Now looking back at my childhood photos, I was actually normal-sized. Either I thought I was fat and other kids latched onto my insecurities, or someone told me I was and I then believed them. I had some insecurities about my weight like most young…
